The Governance and Operations Division strengthens Schools and Learning Centres capability to create a conducive environment for the teaching-learning process to take place, provide for the holistic development of learners, and ensure their readiness to learn through the timely planning, mobilization, and equitable distribution of sufficient resources, development of human resource, provision of technical assistance and building of strong partnership with stakeholders for increased support and resources to effectively and efficiently implement sustainable programs, projects and services towards increased access and delivery of quality basic education.
The Health and Nutrition promotes a clean and healthy learning environment and learner physical, psychological, and emotional well-being and readiness to learn, by identifying and responding to the needs of the Schools and Learning Centers for the resources, technical assistance and the capability to implement sustainable health and nutrition related programs and services and creating strong linkages and partnerships with educational stakeholders.

DEPED MEDICAL OFFICER III JOB SUMMARY
- To promote, protect and maintain the physical and mental well-being and readiness of learners to learn, by planning, formulating strategies for health and nutrition programs, to provide supervisory function to health personnel in the conduct and monitoring of Health and Nutrition Program Services and establishment of viable and sustainable linkages with educational partners and stakeholders.
DEPED MEDICAL OFFICER III QUALIFICATION STANDARDS (CSC Prescribed Qualifications)
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (preferably with MA in Public Health, Public Administration, Management, Health Education or relevant field)
- Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience in the practice of Medicine
- Eligibility: RA 1080 (Physician’s Licensure Exam)
- Trainings: 4 hours of relevant training
