Physical Education 8 Quarter 1 – Module 1: Go for Fitness Goal

This module was designed and written with you in mind. It is here to help you master the goal-setting based on assessment results. The scope of this module permits it to be used in many different learning situations. The language used recognizes the diverse vocabulary level of students. The
lessons are arranged to follow the standard sequence of the course. But the order in which you read them can be changed to correspond with the
textbook you are now using.

The module contains:

  • Lesson 1 – Health- Related Fitness Goals and Its Importance

After going through this module, you are expected to:

1. undertake physical activity and physical fitness assessments (PE8PF-la-h-23)

a. demonstrate understanding on physical fitness;

b. identify and describe the components of Health-Related Fitness (HRF);

2. set goals based on assessment results (PE8PF-IA-24)

a. express appreciation on the importance of planning in achieving fitness goals;

b. make a personal fitness plan based on assessment results.
