For example, look around you. Can you tell whether these matter found inyour environment or even at your home are pure substances such as the air you smell and breathe, the food you eat, the water you drink and the other things you see, hear and feel? It is for you to find out with the help of this module.

3. Relate the importance of pure substance in real – life situations.
