Disaster Readiness and Risk Reduction Module: Policies of DRRM – The Philippine DRRM Law RA 10121 and Its Implementing Rules and Regulations

This Self-Learning Module (SLM) is prepared so that you, our dear learners, can continue your studies and learn while at home. Activities, questions, directions, exercises, and discussions are carefully stated for you to understand each lesson.

In this module, the learner will be able to understand and explain Republic Act 10121: Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction Management Act of 2010 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations

  • Explain DRR-related laws and policies.

Objective:

  • By the end of the lesson, the students must be able to:

a. Discuss the international and national mandates for Disaster Risk Reduction Management policies and programs;

b. Understand Republic Act 10121: Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction Management Act of 2010 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations;

c. Conduct a simple disaster risk assessment in the school or in the community.
