Grade 6 Mathematics Module: Visualizing and Describing the Different Solid Figures: Cube, Prism, Pyramid, Cylinder, Cone, and Sphere using Various Concrete and Pictorial Models

This Self-Learning Module (SLM) is prepared so that you, our dear learners, can continue your studies and learn while at home. Activities, questions, directions, exercises, and discussions are carefully stated for you to understand each lesson.

Each SLM is composed of different parts. Each part shall guide you step-by-step as you discover and understand the lesson prepared for you.

This module was designed and written with you in mind. It will help you master the skills to visualize and describe the different solid figures: cube, prism, pyramid, cylinder, cone and sphere using various concrete and pictorial models.

The scope of this module discusses different applications of solid figures. The language uses appropriate diverse vocabulary level. The lessons are arranged to follow the standard sequence of your course. But the order in which you study them can be changed to match with the textbook you are now using.

After going through this module, you are expected to:

1. visualize and describe the different solid figures: cube, prism, pyramid, cylinder, cone and sphere using various concrete and pictorial models;

2. differentiate solid figures from plane figures;

3. identify the faces of a solid figures.
