This module was designed to help you understand the difference between the formal and non-formal education. This module will also disclose the two primary functions of education namely; to develop a productive citizenry and to promote self-actualization.

In addition, this topic will lead to the understanding that education is connected to the basic human rights of every being in the world. And this will enable the learners to know the importance of education in their lives.
